I just purchased this kriegsmarine blue shirt. I know there are some experts around here. It looks good to me, but I am always happy with your comments.

Nothing to worry about it's a salty blue shirt with no red flags, these officer eagles can be found on private tunics as well,.......i like it

Hi timster,

I agree, a nice blue shirt, but in my opinion on these photos it appears that the eagle has been replaced. It looks like there are small black threads tacking the eagle to the shirt (circled in red) but diagonal loose threads below the wing (indicated in red arrows). Perhaps sharper closeups could confirm.

It's anyone's guess as to whether it would be a reattachment of the original eagle or a replaced eagle, but I suspect the latter is more probable (although I guess it's possible an Obergefreiter might attach a commissioned officer's bullion eagle).
