    Hi Val,

    I'm inclined to think of that type as French-made (although unproven) for the reasons described here:

          [QUOTE=valoche;7791879]Hello guy's

          Thank you
          Val

          Nice original gold specimen, appears to be brass because finish is normally much poorer on zink versions. As Norm mentions it might be a french made bird

          Also interesting to note, design wise, its the only type I have encountered so far which has 4 secondary feathers on both wings. Most types of summer birds you see have 5 secondary feathers in the left wing and only 4 in the right wing; some have 5 secondary feathers on both wings but this one only type I have seen with 4

          Good find

            Nice bird Ron

            Similar hardware but the design on yours looks like that of the Assmann first pattern eagle which is sometime (not always) marked with the big "A" in the second lower vertical feather of the right wing. Note the 4 secondary feathers in the right wing vs the 5 secondary feathers in the left wing which is also different from Val's bird

            Regards

            JC
