Found in local Shop in town....

Wanted to share this little Gem with the fellow KM Collectors. Nicely chain stitched but heavily soiled with age and nicotine. It's been hanging a Den for many years I was told. Comments welcome and Enjoy!
    Dave.

I don't know if it's double sided. Kind of hesitant to remove it from the frame. I brushed it gently to remove dust and some animal hair.
              Think I'll leave it.
              Thanks fellas!

Very nice, congrats. I would leave it like it is. That "patina" makes it imo even more authentic.

This I would have cleaned professionally. Tar is very bad for cloth and will accelerate its decomposition.

Very very nice indeed...authentic without a doubt. From a little shop far from the ocean or from San Diego maybe? What was the price may I ask?...
As to cleaning it I would abstain unless done by a restoration team like the one that handled Titanic artifacts, very $$$
                          Congrats.
