      Here is a whole bunch of Doctors with the same 2 "Passanten", some with straps, some not.....I have no date for this picture..

          Great picture Hans Kristian, thanks for posting.

          Fahnrich with shoulder cord, officers without shoulder boards, as should be. Interesting that in this picture they are not wearing sleeve reserve insignias.

              The reason why you see officers with out reserve insignia is that the Passanten also means that those officers are tested( Auswählübungen) before being allowed to go in the reserve. The Fähnriche and Oberfähnriche wore the Passanten under the shoulderstraps. It was worn by officers that had made their " Laufbahn Ausbildung " before 1. 10. 35
