Kriegsmarine cap eagle 2 needle systems: opinons welcome

Intresting to see that two needle systems are combined here: 3 holes for the three prongs that never seemed to be placed and at the same time what remains of a single stickpin in the middle. Look forward to your comments if the single stickpin was added wartime or postwar??

Also very pronounced V shape.

Likely for a cap, so it could be removed for cleaning of the hat..

Here is another similar one, but sadly he will never fly again due to his broken wing.......

IMO the "bending" could have occured at any point in this bird's life but your hardware set up is perfectly OK and not that unusual of aluminum birds so they could be made either with the 2 (or 3) crimped clips for affixing permanently or the single needle if the eagle had to be removed for cleaning (cap with summer white top).
