    For some reason they are called the "French type" and surprisingly original.

    In regard to the Germans using synthetic cloth which they were very advanced in the production of during WW2, here is a good overview;

      Hello,

      While very ugly, these breast eagles are original in my opinion. I am guessing later war and maybe French as we see them almost always in KM/CA style of eagles. I have never seen one in Heer colors. From what what I understand there hasn't been a period photo of these eagles in wear found yet. I would love to see one if there is.
