Can anyone explain what this rank is and what insignia he may have worn? I'm guessing he is at least a Kapitan or korvetten Kapitan equivalent but I'm not sure. I do know he surrendered at La Rochelle in 1945 as the base quartermaster under admiral schirlitz.

As rank insignia he wore the normal gold tresses and the "Administration" sleeve patch as shown.

Is for the positive comments gentlemen . Does anyone know of any photos of Heinz Rodig? Also, so based on the info already provided by compressore, he would have worn the blue uniform with gold rank insignia ,not the silver of naval officials? And as a his rank was indicated ,he would also wear the visor with one broad row of oak leaves ?
