I've accomplished it! Zerstörer Mützenbänder

I have finally achieved the complete collection of named Zerstörer tallies. It took awhile but, It is now a complete collection. I look forward to sharing an image with all of them. Here is the elusive Anton Schmitt that will be making its way to Alaska.

I started collecting tallies I believe around the end of 2007. So just shy of a decade.
I was very fortunate to have had the funds and many online friends who helped me either by helping direct me to pieces they had or where there was listed for sale somewhere a dealer had in their inventory.

The 10 Destroyers from the battles of Narvik are extremely hard to come by as there are several Norwegian nationals who collect items from their country's history.

I really don't know how many people on this forum have achieved the full collection of Zerstörer tallies. I know a few who have the completed Narvik action ships but stopped there, not going after the other 12 existing.

It was always my wish to get this completed. A completed collection is much nicer and now, I can work on the presentation as all the pieces are in place.

Mützenbänder has been my primary focus in collecting. It is my passion area. After all, what other piece can you collect that represent a definitive unit or ship that you could get a representation of? Mützenband and schiffswappen are my experience. Which is also why I have a pretty extensive wappen collection.

I know what you mean about the Narvik destroyers, the ones I'm looking for went to Narvik later on, I'm having a hard time finding them. I can complain though, I've just started - it'll give me something to occupy myself with for the next 10 years
