    Hi All,
Just picked up this KM overseas cap. Manufactured by Heinrich Balke of Bremen. Dated 1942.

        Many thanks chaps,
Now a question for you... I have an original unused bevo KM cap eagle.
Should I restore the cap to its former de-nazified glory or leave as is??
        Regards,
        Jason

Safe answer is no. But to me a cap without its eagle is not particularly nice to display, so I would be tempted. But I'm sure many will disagree.

            Looks OK to me.
In case you are going to restore it, try to find a worn eagle!

I personally do not care for the idea of trying to put the eagle on. I have tried this with sailor tunics for example and the stitch line is never right, the thread is not right.

Same with rating patches. Since a sailor tunic with no insignia is not worth much, it does not matter much with those but an overseas cap is another matter.

I think you should leave it alone.

                Thanks Guys,
I think I will leave it alone as I have another Heinrich Balke cap with complete insignia.
                Thanks for the help.
