Rate sold, big money, worth it?

I did not bid on this but, watched it go for $621.00. Was it worth it? Obviously to someone it was. Can somebody ID the rate for all?
    Thanks in advance.

Indeed, it is extremely rare career patch for Telephone Mechanic Maat.
Honestly, I never saw one, and I've seen a lot ;-).

It was introduced quite late thus not many existed and even less survived.

Can you post a link to the auction please?

The metal one I have for telephone operator is similar in rarity. I only got the metal piece and put it on a provisional cloth backing to look better.
        It's here: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...&postcount=125

There are some other which are extremely rare, but I would say the price of $621 is way too much compared with what I would give.

Andjelo agree that is a very rare career patch, I was following it on ebay, IMO it doesn't worth that. Other EM career for Navigating Helmsman in White was also sold for more than 350 USD.

I also followed it on Ebay. Rare, but in my opinion way overpriced. There were two bidders going for it if I remember rightly. The Telephone Operator patch for summer uniform in amiklic1's link sold for the grand total of $15 over at The Collector's Guild.

White navigating helmsman for EM was sold on eBay once for 80 US$ and I forgot about it. Now I just hope it will pop out somewhere again.
