U-Jagd stoppwatch Junghans

Hi Guys,
before i will sell it i want to show you this Kriegsmarine U-Jagd stoppwatch from Junghans.
It was used to attack submarines with bombs from ships.
Its a verry rare piece in mint condition.

Because you dont see those verry often i wanted to show it to you, before i sell it.

Hello Manuel, the original ones are very rare indeed, but I am sorry to inform you that this is a fake watch with a fake engraving eagle over M.

So the old man, living in Schramberg, whos father worked for Junghans and gave me an cockpitwatch, an stationwatch and the U-Jagd watch for free has got an fake from his father? ;-)
Why do you think that? Every detail is exactly like the originals i found in the internet.
Please be carefull with such suspects, you could burn a lot of money.

PS: Where do you see an eagle over M? I see an typical eagle over KM, like at every other U-Jagd

I don't judge on the story, I judge on the item. I confirm that the engraving is not period. Don't take this personal, I am not judging you or the old man nor his son. And I know the truth hurts, also financially. The good thing is that you got it for free! Feel free to ask the comments of any other collector who has one in his collection. Avoid to listen to people who only have an opinion, but never had an U-Jagd in hand, as they will give an opinion based on their feelings, which is unfortunately a very bad idea if you collect third Reich militaria because every expensive item is being copied.

I talked to some colectors, who have owned and still owne those watches and noone ever metioned it could be a fake.
And you didn´t gave me a detail, why you think that.
Because of the engraved eagle? So please look at other original stoppwatches, and you´ll see that every one of them has such an "ugly" engraved eagle at the back.

Of course noone instead of me knows, where the watch comes from, but if someone just says it is a fake because of..... ?? I want to know exactly why.

I collect for over 11 years, i know that. I get everything i own from private houses from southern germany. I know the story-tellers and the old man and the box at the last corner of his cabinet with the 2 other watches was not a story-teller
But you are right, thats a fact, which only i can proof and you buy items, not storys.
So please tell me facts and show me pictures of original examples (please from this version of the watch).

The book Kriegsmarine Uniforms & Traditions Volume 3,have the same Eagel over KM on Stopwatch by Junghans page 245.

to Marine: the eagle the picture of Angolia page 245 is not the same as the one in #1, but I the picture is not sharp enough to see the details. I suggest you check the sharp and detailed picture op page 133 in Konrad Knirim's 1998 edition ISBN 3-89355-180-8.

The fact that you have it, is not a proof of authenticity my friend, and please don't make discussions "personal" by adding the "..."

Maybe the eagle in the book is not original
