Are you certain that those glass tubes once contained morphine ?
If I read the paper instruction behind the glass tubes I would say these are CO2 detection tubes . Once underwater Co2 could build up to dangerous levels so the chief engineer or some other crewmen would break open one of these vials and the CO2 would react with a chemical in the tube changing its color . There may be a chart showing different color to a certain CO2 level . With just this one picture that is my best guess ! I would like to see more pictures of the vials and the paper work below them . If for sale please let me know .
