Kriegsmarine Drager Diving Suit for Review

    Hi
Just bought this diving suit. Does anybody have any information on the numbers produced, as there doesn't seem to be a lot out there on the internet?
    Thanks in advance
    John

Postwar made helmet with postwar KM markings IMO, there will be a book on the market in the near future that will give information about the serial numbers and post war copies. I must admit that it is a minefield with little knowlegde available on the www.

I find these sites very interesting:

The suit came from the Anthony Pardoe collection and is featured in his 2 volume book 'Diving Helmets and Equipment Through the Ages'. He catalogues it as German WWII helmet and explains it was discovered in a box, he had purchased, of what was Diving rigging (so no intention to deceive). His collection of over a 160 helmets (in the top 4 largest collections, in the World) was sold recently.
Are you saying that he is wrong? Or lying?
Your referenced website 'Pieds Lourds' shows a very similar eagle stamp on a WWII diving knife scabbard.

Original , Absolutely ! Military helmet ? For sure ( white paint inside) . Looking at the serial number, Most probably wartime with a real stamp.
This is the second model helmet. The first model had the back of the helmet "cutoff" In the Diver-helmet collection world the nazi stamp will not really make a difference regarding value . I need to dive into my reference books regarding the exact date of this helmet.
This is a VERY NICE and rare set !!!!!! Wartime or not. !!!
                  Congratulations !
I used to own a collection of 75 of these helmets :-)
                  Its my job ! :-)
