Torpedo boat ????

Hi guys here is another one what's this off, my mate said its off a torpedo boat?

The only markings are on the rounded knurled knob

which are KLAR DUNKEL MITTEL HELL

It is the left side of a standard flakglas DF.10x80, not for use on torpedo boats
