It was not only these crockery items which were being sold in abundance but so many other items which on the day you either had to know so extremely very well, buying outside your comfort zone was simply not a remote consideration, one seller had up a disclaimer stating that owning to the large volume of excellent reproductions which exist he could not accept responsibility for anything which was for sale on stall - "buyer beware".
I saw a few sets of binoculars for sale from sellers one with an obvious " fake" eagle which destroyed an otherwise intact and excellent "gas mask" navy 7x50 and another leitz 7x50 which had a replaced prism plate on it .
Things like this do not inspire confidence having gone to three fairs the collective buying for seven people was not huge.
