U-39 Hat? Badge - Has anyone seen the likes of this???

I got a few of these U-39 U-Boot Badges in a large grouping of Shoulder board and Collar Tab devices.

45 mm Badge with a prong back as would be used on a Collar Tab, Shoulder Board, or possibly a Hat?

Die struck copper or brass with faint traces of gold plating. I also have a version in silver.

Can't find anything at all about it, so any help would be appreciated.
