These U-Boat Kriegsmarine binoculars seem genuine, they compare favourably with others I have seen on the net and in books, do the forum members like the look of them, as I can’t imagine too many U-Boat commanders binoculars were confiscated or captured during the war!

no issues there. Just a heavily used set of u-boot glass.
what you are seeing is the Aul. body red iron oxide primer then the top coat of paint.. Zeiss green/tan color.

Thanks for the replies, the only issue I had with them was no makers marks. But apparently some U Boat captains had there own binoculars made to their own specifications. I have posted an interesting link telling the story of a U-Boat captain and his binoculars.
