Kriegsmarine Breast Eagle for review

Hi guys,

I have a tunic I'm trying to verify with not much luck. But I was wondering if anyone could at least verify the authenticity of the breast eagle attached to the tunic. Any help is much appreciated.

Pulling this thread up again to ask why most people seemed to like it at the time.

When trawling the forum, it seems to be one of the most common eagles around (about 15 of them posted in the pinned breast eagle thread) and is found on all 4 backings (blue, white, field grey and tropical) and occurs both in breast eagle and cap eagle size. Most of them tend to be on the field grey background.

And despite the fact that it's probably one of the most commonly posted machine embroidered eagles around, we have yet to see posted a photograph of one in wear.

This area of the hobby is still in its infancy in terms of rigorous study. The pinned thread is good "catch-all" reference, but eventually I'd like to see a reference thread on each type of breast eagle (at least for the most common types) with some evidence to support originality wherever possible.

So it would very helpful if anyone can show some examples with convincing provenance or a photograph of this type in wear. The minty one stitched on to the jumper in the opening post doesn't look that convincing to me for wartime application.
