    KM tropical NCO tunic

    Hello all,

I have a chance to buy this one and wanted to know the initial thoughts on the setup. Does the breast eagle look like a period bevo?

I wish I could help with an opinion, but I do not know enough to be helpful. It is a nice looking piece, so hopefully other members can give you an idea of authenticity.

would it be correct to display the M40 tropical cap with this style of tunic as well or was it only to be worn with the green colored tunic? The shoulder boards on the tunic are for boatswain, did they not wear the M40 on board a ship?

The M40 tropical ball cap can be worn with any of the tropical tunics, including the tunic in question - not just the green tunic. (Take acloser look at period photos of km tropical tunics. Cartoons are just about worthless.)

Regarding the beast eagle; can we get close ups of the front and bask side of the eagle so as to take a closer look at the application? Though I am thinking it is an originally applied eagle, I'd like to see more photos of it.

It would be correct William, but personally I think it would look better with an NCO visor.

You can find the wear of literally any kind of headgear on period fotos.
M40 were worn on board of vessels too.

I have displayed my tropical tunics with a M40 as well with a blue NCO visor.

I think your jacket is a nice original one.

                  Regards
                  Christian

                    Hello,

Terrible application of the eagle for me! I would like to see much clearer, sharper and straight on photos of this eagle. It appears to be one of those very ugly ,debateable eagles that nobody has seen a period picture of on any type of uniform.
