Rare 1940 dated KM Pith Helmet

1940 dated tropical items are rare and very desirable. Not often one sees KM tropical items dated 1941 let alone 1940. Yet on ebay a KM Pith helmet dated 1940 has just sold for US $89.

It is not in the best of condition but one does not see many with that date and KM Piths are the one of the rarest to try and find,

Shame the rim is bady damaged because the top is not too dented. Thus it has a reasonable shape,
