Why are the rivets not painted tan brown ? Just a question lol

Good point, I am hard pressed to think of any KM tropical billed M42 that I have seen that on. None of my New Zealand brought back examples have it.

The grommets always seem to be plane grey zinc or a greyed steel/ tin,

Hi Chris,

this posted by me and commented by you has light brown grommets. But as seen maybe not a "KM" one except the green liner.
