    Küstenarty board to an OB

    Hi all,

I have this, probably late war, KM coastal arty board to an Officer candidate.

The board is reinforced with black pieces of cloth, and this gives it a look like black waffenfarbe, ingineer, but is that the case in reality..?..I cannot find any info on this, I know they had black soutaches on caps but also boards..?..
Ofcourse it makes perfect sense with this board for a OB for the engineers.

    Any info much appreciated..

Eduardo, thanks for the input, nice board..

Well, I am sure this must be a Offiziers-bewerber, officer candidate, maybe a recruit fra a technical education joining the navy..or a promising recruit destined to take an engineering education (like the medical offiziers-bewerber).

Ah, yes, now I understand your question, yes, you are right, I have a medical one with the yellow tresse...

Hmm..yes, true, strange..and maybe "upgraded"...could maybe be explained by a late-war situation, but still..not regulatory..

Maybe anyone have comments on this..?..

                  Hallo!
                  Anbei mein Exemplar.
Silberne Tresse ist vorschriftswidrig, sollte silberne sein.
                  Gruss
