U-11 hand decorated Uboat compass or abomination fantasy piece?

Hi all,

I am researching this compass for my friend who found it in a box- The compass has a Swastika and eagle with aU-boat on the top of it and "U11" underneath, as well as the word "Biber" ( not Justin Bieber I hope.) Were items like this custom decorated frequently or is this just another terrible fantasy piece?

The eagle is not even a Kriegsmarine eagle.......

The workmanship is juvenile at best.......

"Fantasy" should be changed to nightmare..
