KM Visor, Thoughts?

Hope this is the better section, these are the only photos I have. Whats the deal with this visor cap? Don't know these at all.

Is the visor edging vinyl/plastic?

The edging should be leather or lacquered cloth, not plastic or vinyl.

I like what I am seeing so far and the leaves on the visor are one of the very infrequently encountered metal versions. (The East Germans routinely used metal pieces instead of real embroidery on their postwar caps, but this cap does not look East German to me.) If real, this is a cap I would like to have in my collection. Is it possible to get additional shots, especially of the interior and underneath the leather sweatband?

the oak leaves on the visor look like they're metal. I have never seen that before.

Could have been upgraded by the crew for the officer, but it is in really nice shape for being hand cut?? Have seen the Ober. Zur See but nothing higher?

In the F.W. Assmann & Sohne catalog an option appears in the Reichsmarine section for this metal oak leaves device. The device is catalog # 24691. Hope this helps.
