It sure is. To be honest I have no idea what the value for a globe like this is. By looking at the globes that amiklic1 has in his post, the price range is from $1400 to $9000. I know that these are rare, but why does the price vary so much? Is it because of the different makers or that some are KM and some are luftwaffe or is it just impossible to set a value on it like one can do with helmets, reefers, medals etc.

It is just like with other collectibles. It's worth what collectors will pay. Apparently the globe on CG site sits there a while....IMHO very high price. There is one RM on E-Bay for around 6000...not selling.
I have a personal target to acquire one and have a sum in mind to spend....one day one will pop up for me. Matter of time.

William you are right, expensive but not the most expensive I have seen, these are really rare and some are asking for them even 9.000-10.000 euros.

I spotted this globe there is a good moment already and I can tell you that it was lowered with 1000 euros already.
KM is not very collected it certainly for that the price is decreasing. It is necessary to know also that the object is at the sale for some time...
I have already made the business with this shopkeeper and at the moment not disappointed in spite of the fact that I recently had no answer to one of my questions...

Time is our friend, and if you are ready to be patient, many nice items will come for a good price. Of course, that takes numerous hours searching on Internet, so when you take into account the value of all that time, than you are again at the same place and price paid. At least that's how I see it.
