The engraving of the eagle is not as deep as the number and this pattern of eagle would be very suspicious on this type of equipment, fake eagle IMO, here you have another one:

Hi Glaser.. This is not a fake, would be impossible to achieve this for the price I bought it for..
I''ve seen two other KM logs already a long time ago with the same markings. This one comes from an old sailing vessel and not from a collector.
Good to be suspicious, but this is a genuine KM log.
