Gentlemen. Has anyone seen one of these before?
It stands about 33 cms in height, weighs 5.5 Kgs and appears to be nickel plated.
I can find no markings to suggest Kriegsmarine use but obviously the clamshell blue glass filters do suggest use in an environment where the occupants have to be conditioned to night vision.

All your thoughts would be appreciated!

It is a convoi-lantern.

I belive the one you have are of newer date and not pre-45.
Here is a zerstörer convoi-lantern that I have from the kriegsmarine. Half of it is missing though.
