Good? I note from extremely interesting tally threads that pre-45's must have 'shadows' or tiny 'gold dots' round the letters. This one does.

It's got diagonal end-cuts and is about 46 inches

No A more common one but still a nice pre-war cotton tally, congrats. Cotton is more rare than gold wire.

You can't always assume if there's a ghosting then it's pre-war. Eg the "famous" Scharnhorst tally from HMS Belfast has the ghosting.

Early BM tallies are constructed like pre-war ones and will probably have that as well. Can't say for sure though as I don't collect these. Here you'll have to check the unit.

You do not need to be registered to view his website. It is actually easy to navigate--type in muetzenband into the search function then copy and paste the correct German spelling into the same search function to make sure you see them all.
