Cap tallie?

Does anyone know if this particular Cap Tallie is a period piece? Or is this a modern day tourist souvenir?

There are two options imo. It's either a Weimar period tally, the ship was launched in 1929 or a more modern day version.

My feeling is the latter but without a pic of the reverse it's really hard to determine.

IMO modern cap tally used by the cadets. It is worth around 5 euros, max. Old and new attached.
