Hi,
Found this handpainted decorative plate today.
It says ' KMD Rotterdam 1942'. The picture shows the river De Rotte with some boats and at the background the Laurenskerk (church).
It further shows an anchor on both sides and the coats of arms of Rotterdam.
I believe this plate is from the Kriegsmarine Dienstelle (KMD) Rotterdam. This was a Kriegsmarine unit that was in Rotterdam from July 1940 till October 1944.
But I'm not 100% sure because I have not seen other examples of this plate?
Does anybody knows this plate or has more information for me?
