Lots of Kriegsmarine Mützenbänder

I have got a lot of different Mützenbänder , all from one estate. Some are double. I am not a collector of Kriegsmarine items, but I like the ones of Schlachtschiff Scharnhorst. I dont not if they are rare.. maybe there are better ones in this lot. But Scharnhorst, Gneisenau , Bismarck and Tirpitz are ships every one knows and the " NOT Kriegsmarine collector " too. I searched the Internet and saw that Zerstörer Schoemann was at Narvik, thats interestig too.

They were commissioned after the the tallies changed from the ship name to "Kriegsmarine". I do not see any on your post so before you get rid of anything, post it here.

Anything was possible during the war, so who knows, maybe some were made for the Captain. Need to see them first.

Contact Marine HJ here, Dani Falk, for help on selling these. Valuations are individually derived, tally by tally, and you have a lot of them. Some worth a decent amount of money, like your Scharnhorst tallies for example. So take your time, listen to Dani, and good luck.

mean that Hermann Schoemann participated in the Battle of Narvik 1940 this is incorrect. Ten German destroyers were engaged here ref my own thread of these 10 tallies http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=640082

Schoemann was originally intended to participate in Operation Weserübung - the Invasion of Norway 1940, but due to continuous engine failure she had to break of her involvment staying in German ports for repair. In June 1940 she later joined both the Scharnhorst and the Gneisenau, Kreuzer Admiral Hipper and the destroyers Hans Lody, Karl Galster and Erich Steinbrinck in the Operation Juno off the Islands of Lofoten resulting in the sinking of the British tanker Oilpioneer, the Sub-hunter Juniper and the troop carrier Orama.

There were many ships of the Kriegsmarine who were engaged in the Polarmeer 1940-45, and Hermann Schoemann was surely one of these who had extensive engagement in Norwegian waters later on; especially in escorting different convoys and such. It all came to abrupt an end May 1. 1942 when Herman Schoemann met her faith being crippled by salvos from the British Cruiser Edinburgh and finally beeing sunk by igniting two of her own depth charges.
