Sextant - messed with ?

Dears,

Looking at this Sextant made by Plath, I recognized that the "tube" for the occular is quite different (or missing ?) compared to other examples.
I think that the sextant is an original one but maybe messed with ?

I have an original KM sextant with the normal type of ocular. But loose in the case was an additional ocular with rubber eyecup, exactly the same as yours.
These are the same as fitted on the kriegsmarine Kreissel-sextants, except for the fitting to the sextant itself.

So it seems that the sextant I posted have the same "small" occular like shown by reinoudmilitary.
Anybody knows if those sextants were delivered factory with both occulars ?
What is the different usage ?
