    Reichsmarine button up for review.....

    Don't have much experience with these so any info will be greatly appreciated ....photos do not do it justice it is much brighter and complete gilded very little loss . I see the "A" for Assman but under it is a 5 not too sure about it...Legit ?

        It's a nice period button, what else do you need to know about it? JFS and OLC also made for the Reichsmarine and Kriegsmarine.

              From what I know of these they were made prior to the Kriegsmarine , but not sure of the time frame ....any ideas ?

                  Hi to all,

                  The appellation "Reichsmarine" was used btw 1922 and 1935 and come after the "Kaiserliche Marine".
                  So "Kriegsmarine" appeared from 1935.
                  I don't know the meaning of the number "5", it exists a number on most of KM glass buttons as well, see below.

                      You're welcome Taz.
                      Unfortunately, it's not possible that your "5" stand for M5 as "M5" and the "RZM" marks were exclusively used on the nazi party accessories (hitlerjugend...).
                      Never seen on KM effects.
                      It is barely perceptible.

                        Simply two other examples of these numbers:

                        "0" and "102".

                        In my opinion, it identify a unit production or a batch number that allows tracing them
