    Vice Admiral Schirlitz Cap

Hi recently came to me a good fellow collector and bring me to put on sale this nice and amazing item, the KM Vice Admiral Cap of Ernst Schirlitz, bought on Hermann Historica about 10-12 years ago...he only have an archive in his pc with a photo of the lot they sale...the coat, the dagger...etc.

Also the amazing thing is the cap have also inside the summer cap...and outside the cover in blue colour....

Ernst Schirlitz joined the navy in 1912 as cadet, was Commander of the "Herta" in 1913 and during the first world war he commanded the war boats "FREYA", "FRIEDRICH CARL" and "FÜRST BISMARCK". In the second world war, he was in charge of the Western France marine (Westfrankreich) in 1942, then after a short period in Brittany he was named commander for the atlantic coast in 1943. He was commander of the La Rochelle front from August 20th, 1944 to its surrender on April 9th, 1945 and bearer of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, and of the German cross in gold.

I want to put it on sale in the E- Stand and i think they will have many boyfriends....have a few defects in the cover but is an really Scarce and named item.

Please give me your opinions and also the price estimated, many thanks in advance, Oberst.

The bill is 100% resewn and I don't like at all the bullion on the top.
The eagle and cocade are 100% original.
In my opion the cap is a franky made from original and Bundesmarine parts.
I would not have this cap in my collection.

                  Cheers,

not neccassarily wheres the rest of the items the jacket etc it would be easier to say someone make a franky and put a name inside........ if it can be proved to be the same cap sold by hh then yes be concerned

The silk liner seems to be odd, very coarse, not something what you would suspect from a TR maker and the visor has been reattached if you ask me,....please could you make a frontal shot from the wreath embroidering,.....thanks in advance,
                        Cheers Christian

                          Hi,
                          mail Hermann Historica.
They will look for you for this sale in their archive.
I have done this in the past and they send me pictures and hammer prices.
At least you will know if they have sold this particular cap.
                          Regards
                          Christian

Also note that if your friend contacted you to sell this cap - you are not permitted to sell it for them on e-stand.
