Unusual cap eagle

Hi Guys

Anyone seen this one before?- having it in hand it seems to be period made and reminds me strongly of some of the Belgian made Heer and WSS insignia.

What do you think?

Hello Patrick,

I have never seen an KM eagle made like this before. It does resemble the Belgian made BeVo pieces that you mention. I would say that it didn't match up exactly to a Heer Belgian made eagle to pass on it. I personally do not like the construction.

Member MAH has a fantastic eagle collection. Maybe he has seen an example.

Thanks Fred, it is a total oddball. I have had literally hundreds of eagles of all branches over the years and never seen this one. Here are pics of a Belgian Reitz produced heer eagle which shows a lot of similarities. There was also French and Dutch locally made bevo style insignia which this could also be

I got one like this years ago but has regarded it as a fake. Perhaps I an wrong. I agree that it looks a bid like the Belgian made SS Eagles.

not sure what it is, but for sure no belgian made eagle ....

and for sure NO REITZ eagle, since REITZ never made insignia....
