Hello,
I want to shed some light on this big oil lamp. I collect german equipment, but don't know much about this lamp. The story goes that the mother from the person that gave me the lamp, took it out of a german bunker somewhere on the coast in the Hague.
It is very big (over a meter tall) with red glass. Inside is a standard german oil lamp with a brand new but original wick. The green paint is not original I think.
A number with a M and a star is scraped into the red glass. No further markings.
A saw similar but smaller lamps in museums.
Does someone have information about these lamps, are they original, kriegsmarine or wehrmacht and what is the value?
Thanx!
