Questions re Canvas Deck Shoes and Regulation Issue Shirts for U-Boat KM

I have a couple of questions re the canvas deck shoes and shirts (regulation issue) available to u-boat crewmen.

    (1) Within this forum, I found images for what appear to be two versions of the canvas deck shoe. One appears to be of olive-colored canvas while the other is a medium brown shade of canvas. Both are trimmed with black leather but the cut of the leather trim is different between the two shoes.

There aren't probably a great number of surviving examples of these shoes but it would be of great interest to see additional photos of those in anyone's collection.

From the period photos I've seen of u-boat personnel (that show their footwear) it seems these canvas deck shoes were worn but I wouldn't say they were the predominant footwear. It seems I mostly see what I think is a lace-up half boot in leather. Does that observation seem correct?

    (2) I know civilan shirts were often worn by u-boat crewmen with check and plaid prints being popular at the time.

In his book, Torpedo Los!, Gordon Williamson refers to KM issue shirts that were available as well. I think he essentially shows at least three different print patterns for these KM issue shirts with one of the shirts shown in color. Again, there may not be many surviving examples of these shirts but I'm hoping that someone may have in their collection a KM issue shirt that they can show?

Thanks in advance for any information or photos that can be shared or shown.
