Hello everyone just picked up this nice photo but I am stuck, never seen this type of insignia before, does anyone know what it is?? cogwheel with a blitz



Closer, I suppose this could be a communications engineer, however the insignia is blitz on cog and not cog on blitz

In my opinion he was first Engineer and changed the branch to communications engineer. The insignia was not changed on the reefer. the blitz was stitched over the cogwheel to show his new branch.
