Is this a genuine KM pith helmet eagle?

    Dear all,

I recently obtained this nice (IMO) KM pith-helmet eagle.....it is a very detailed and pronounced piece and has a total 'wingspan' of 11 cms. It is void of a stamp or marking.

The eagle is facing LEFT and it comes on a long-sized (single prong) IMO used 'to slide the piece on a pith helmet'.

Is it possible that it is a piece for administrative officials (taking into account that it is silver-coloured)? Or is it just an unfinished (ie. not yet golded) piece?

Thanking you in advance for your appreciated input!

Well I am no expert by any means, but I do have a few of these, and in my opinion, this is a cast reproduction. But please wait for other comments as well.

        Hi Coco

I'm not an expert on these either and there are variations but the front detail of yours is the same as a gold colour (painted) zinker I have. However the back on yours is plain while mine shows die stamping image details and is marked "KWM" and the pin is welded on yours and crimped on mine so I would agree with WWIIBuff that its a cast copy but wait for more for more feedback to be sure
