I think Eduardo will be of help again, as he has one original piece on his fabulous tunic.

Is this a real KM aiguillete or not?

Not to always use only other's help without learning by myself, I must say that metal devices are longer than on Eduardo's, and the whole item is longer/more complicated.

I believe this is a cut-down East German aiguillette.

Agree wih you, not original KM adjutant cords, probably Don is rigtht, post-war remade aiguillette.
