    Signalmaat colani jacket.

    Hi

Few days ago I received this jacket. Therefore, I have a few questions about it, specially collar patches. Without doubt they are the original applied patch, but as You can see gold bar is horizontal applied at the bottom - not the top as seen in the period pictures on google.
I noticed that top of bar was some kind of emblem, which have been removed but we still can see "ghost" of it.
Does anyone know what might be there and what emblem been removed?

Forgive my questions, but in KM subject my knowledge is very poor.

        Hello,

I think we can see here http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru....php?p=5204648

something similar, but the gold tresse is indeed on the otkher end.

It's probably "sonderführer" insignia, with anchors on collar tabs.

To make it short, here is a citytion from another forum:

"Sonderführer were men in both non-commissioned and in officer rank with special skills and no "ordinary" naval men. The addition of Sonderführer to a normal rank meant that he was an officer with no regular naval career, but that he was appointed in that rank because of a special skill or special appointment. Well-known as Sonderführer are interpreters and war correspondents."
