    Nice pictures,thanks.
    The insignia is also fastened with "prongs" to on the eagle and one on the bottom.

    It's old and it doesen't glow so it woulden't do bad as a display.
    By the way,there should be a reference tread on theese caps.

      Just to make sure other collectors understand, the Prinz Eugen tally was worn only after the war ended. It was worn during the trip to the United States and then on to the Pacific for the atomic bomb tests.

      I believe the tally was made during the war and kept in storage in Prinz Eugen. When the Americans came to the ship, the Germans decided to wear the tally out of pride for their ship.

      They put the tally on their caps the day before the Americans came aboard.

      The Americans had no problem with the tally at all and the tally was something the Germans gave to the Americans as a present or traded it for something they wanted from the Americans. No insignia was worn that had the swastika of course after the war ended. So no cap eagles or breast eagles.

        Well I don't like Norweigians cap , looks brand new , the tally appears to have been sewn on , wrong material , etc , Rob

              Well it looks new on the pictures,but that's the camera blitz doing that,but i will take a picture tomorrow in daylight and the you will see another cap,allthough i don't think it will bring it back to ww2
              That's why i asked if it was post war.
