              Norw,

Yes it can be one, but with replaced buttons and lining.

              Best regards

Its not a big problem to find original buttons

                  Hi

What kind of buttons would fit this jacket then.

Eric:i can find no traces of the lining being replaced,it looks that it is originally sewed in from the start.

                  thanks

The lining is orignal, but it looks like the outside may have been dyed (black?) as the inside leather trim is lighter gray. Most of these had sew in cloth labels in the neck/shoulder area as the only markings....some also had the KM eagle stamped on the wearer's right side outside chest area near the second button down.

Hi,no it hasn't been dyed black just dark fotos.
The jacket is all gray but it's heavily worn, dirty and dry.
I will try to clean it up a bit when time alows me.
                        Thanks

                          buttons

Hi i have some questions on the buttons for this one.
I will change the ones on now to original but i have a couple of questions.

                          1) It is the normal gilted ones (gold) buttons and what size are they?
The reason i aske is that i think i have some somewere and they would fit the
                          rough wear on this jacket.
The size of theese buttons are 25mm.

                          2) the buttons are sewed on an i wonder if there should be a "disc" on the backside, there are on the buttons that are on now only in plastic.
I don't know what their called but the tread from the buttons go through the disc on the backside to reinforce probably.

If anyone have pictures it would be great.
                          Thanks

                            Hi!

Nice textbook three pockets KM leather jacket. Any sort of red flag on this!

                            About your questions:

                            1) for a restore plan, I would put on this jacket the grey buttons, more often seeing on these. I cannot check the measurement in this moment, but seems to remember that the grey ones are in the same way of the gold ones (less the back, wide in the grey).

                            2) almost every time the jackets leave the tailors with those synthetic buttons sewn on the back of the metal's ones, through the leather, for reinforce purpose as well.

                            Cheers!

I have some books on the way but i don't know when i will get them if there are any pics out there.............

                              Thanks
