Help with KM schutzenschnur/cord

Need you're help on this one.

It was part of an big KM grouping i recently bought, but cannot find any info about it online.

Hi,

the reason why you cannot find info about this one is just because it's not official item. Sailors were braiding those to be used with bosun's pipes, and every one is different from others, depending of wishes and braiding skills of the person who was making it.

It's, however, very nice, and knowing it's coming from the lot of original items gives it a special feel.

On the other hand, Schutzenschnur was an award which was awarded for the shooting skills, and comes in variety of levels.
Search about schutzenschnur, there are some very nice threads on WAF about them.

Was there an special way to wear this cord and perhaps on what type of tunic?

It was usuall wore in a way that the loop on the opposite side of the pipe was attached to a jacket button, and the pipe itself was put inside the pocket or behind the belt or also hanging on another button, depending which jacket was used.
