KM-KA Officer Visor

While the period authenticity of this cap has separately been confirmed to me by a WAF member, and I personally have no doubts whatsoever in that regard, I am nonetheless seeking comments on the matter.

Insignia may have been re-applied, but I like it as being an original Coastal Art cap.

Hi John,

I love it. Here's a photo showing similar caps in wear.

A question for my own eduction. Are the small gilt buttons that hold the chin strap in place the double push-pin type or the type with an eyelet for sewing on?

Thanks John. Good to know about the buttons - just what I expected.

For the record, the two officers in the photo are my Dad on the left as 1. MNO in Trieste and on the right is Oberleutnant Robert Wanner who was also a talented musician and composed a well-known Navy song of the era called "Wenn das Schifferklavier an Bord ertönt".
