    Kriegsmarine special equipment helmet

    Hi all,

    Has anyone ever seen a firefighter helmet like this.
    Where they used on battleships?is for heavy protection with oxygen device.

                    I think it's protective helmet for sand-blasting.

                            You are right,this is for sandblasting.
                            Altough it has nothing to do with firefighting why is the feuerschutz involved

                              Soemtimes when the workers are using masks in the shipbuilding areas, they do need temperature-resistant glass on their masks.

                              Maybe it has something to do with that? It may be that the glass is flame-protected...
