Hi'ya mates:
I have been studying these and got some good vibes on this.
I'm aware of the unconventional band, kaiserlichemarine insignia, and the plucked visor embrodiery. It also apears that the visor embrodiery was not quite riding the edging, but perhaps thats the margin where the linear emroider cording was I believe? It's close but not as extreme as BDM, and the repos's. Can't tell if grommets are present.
The rest I think looks okay? If original, this example suggest some continued post war use perhaps? Any other opniions please. These are the only pics.
Would really appreciate some comments. Thanks for looking.
Narrative:
For sale is a visor cap of the German Imperial Navy. The hat is from a private home has never been in a collection. The cap has no moth holes. The carrier was a certain Umbach. But look at the pictures. Interior only slightly soiled by wearing. Leather sweatband and lining completely intact. The hat is also great in the form. Superb condition!!!!
private Sale Son of H. Umbach also a pillow case of the Navy was found in 1942. Also found a certificate of award of the War Badge for mine detection, backup and Ubootsjagd associations. This in another auction.
