Kriegsmarine Sailor's Cap. Opinions Please

Hi Simon,
From what I've seen so far, the cracked celluloid stiffening band behind the leather sweat band is correct and very nice to see on originals from the period. The Kriegsmarine tally is also excellent.
I'm not sure (because my experience falls short) about the border of the blue top. I'm not sure what I'm seeing there, but folks like Eduardo or John could clear this up right away.
Best regards,
---NormAttached Files

I agree with Norm.
This is a good cap example. I like it. I too would like to know what I am looking at. From my limited knowledge, it appears that this top has been secured/sewn to the hat-rim. This is just my guess.
I also find it interesting that this particular hat has the separated cockade from the eagle. Could you share a photo of the inner hat where the eagle pin is?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
JustinG

Very nice Removable top Donald Duck Hat. I picked mine up with that same celluoid stiffner, however with the white top on it and the blue top standing by. I've never changed the tops as the white one I find more impressive I'm sure the cotton band should marry up better with the bottom portion of the hat.Attached Files
