French KM used(?) greatcoat

I recently picked up this French greatcoat, a post WW1 greatcoat, the date is hard to read, but seems to be 1918 or 1919.

But it is cut like a German greatcoat, the buttons are obviously altered, but due to the color I was thinking this might be a KM used greatcoat...

what are your thoughts? I appreciate it.
