    Blue KM tresse question

    I would like to get opions on this style tropical tunic which has blue instead of gold tresse...(tunic already sold...but interesting study object)

    I believe, in 1942 the cornflower blue ribbon collar and shoulder straps tress was prescribed to be worn on
    tropical field blouses, collar patches and Litzen were not
    worn.

      Interesting...so blue replaced gold....I thought maybe it was a "brown uniform" thing...(brown uniforms and tropical uniforms often get mixed up...

          In 1942 the term brown was mainly used for tropical field blouse.

            What about this Golden tresse.
            I have an old cardboard spool full of this unissued KM tresse....many many meters worth...never bothered to unroll it and measure it...
            Is it real? Its definately is not East German!

              Nick G, if manufactured of period materials, IMO, looks correct. But, I have never seen the reverse
              side of a period piece. One cm tress was most often used on the collar.
